In most cases, the answer is no. - Waist — where it sits and how it interacts with the hip curve
- Front-to-back rise balance — how much fabric is allocated to the front rise versus the back rise, which affects comfort when sitting and standing
- Thigh circumference — how much room there is for movement without excess fabric bunching

- Calf/leg opening — determines the final silhouette at the hem
A pattern can hit every individual number on a spec sheet exactly and still fit oddly, because the relationship between those measurements — not any one of them — is what a body actually experiences. This is why fit approval on a raw, unwashed sample is never the final word — the same garment needs to be evaluated again after washing, because the numbers on the spec sheet and the numbers after a wash cycle are rarely identical.

- ✔ Review measurements carefully — check the spec sheet against the physical sample point by point, not just by trying it on
- ✔ Test on real people — fit tested on more than one body type catches issues a single fit model might miss
